Hello, I’m Dino, and I began painting at the age of 17, but my love for creativity has been a lifelong affair. I've always had a creative spirit, in childhood that manifested in a lot of arts and crafts. Throughout my school years, my creative expression took many forms. I was deeply involved in music and fascinated by the world of digital creativity, including animation, media design, and cinematography.

My passion for digital arts led me to pursue a formal education in media design, which eventually reignited my love for fine arts. I realized how much I missed creating art with my hands, away from the screens and digital tools. Being brought back full circle to the tactile experience of expression has been a visual symptom of healing my inner child, which is the core of my works as an artist.

STATEMENT

My earliest works are how I personally would portray the different states of dissociation. Within the same year I also used painting to visualise my experience of integrating. Art has very much depicted my healing journey and I am now mindfully working on themes that criticise the societal pressures we all have to deal with.

Although my works appear very planned out my process is very intuitive and fuelled by my emotions. The repetitive themes and collision between movement and stillness mirror the way seasons mark chapters in life. Ongoing but familiar.

Symbols, color and writing accompany me in every art form I indulge in. My forever muse and inspiration will be love. Communal love, self love, anything to do with love.
